Trevarno estate and gardens also hold the National Museum of Gardening and their renowned organic skincare range.

Trevarno comprises of a bluebell valley which is brilliantly impressive in spring, ornamental lake with picturesque Victorian Boathouse and formal cascade, Serpentine Yew Tunnel, Sunken Italian Garden, Bamboo collection, extensive Pinetum, Rockery and Grotto, the Great Lawn and Summer Terrace and many other interesting features. The bluebells are quite breathtaking in April and May and given the overplanting of mature beech trees, the evening lighting makes the whole wood rather cathedral-like, which is appropriate as the path carries on to lead to two Pet Cemeteries, one for the family dogs and one for the cats.

The Gardening Museum holds a wonderful display of tools from ages past and is quite possibly one of the largest collections in the world.

There are also two other Museums within the Trevarno Estate; The Carriage House became the Soap Museum in late 2003, after the re-location of the National Museum of Gardening, which is situated alongside the Colin Gregory Toy Museum

Events are held in the gardens throughout the year and details can be found on their website. There is also a lovely eating place called the Fountain Garden Conservatory which is home to beautiful tropical and sub-tropical plants where homemade cakes and refreshments are served.

On a sunny day you can enjoy your refreshments at the tables on the Lawn, soaking up the calm atmosphere and watching their peacocks perform.

At the organic herbal Workshop, which was the first in the UK to be granted formal organic certification by the Organic Farmers and Growers Association, their handmade soaps and skincare products are produced using the purest plant oils and materials available. Visitors to the workshops located in the gardens can learn about the benefits of an organic skincare regime and sample the products which are available for sale.

Trevarno is open all year round, apart from Christmas Day and Boxing day. The garden paths have been specially adapted recently so that they are easy for wheelchairs and buggies. There is a large car park and dogs are welcome on leads throughout the gardens, with waste bins being provided along the way.
