Set deep in the lovely North Devon countryside, RHS Garden Rosemoor is a 65 acre garden of national importance.

Lady Anne Berry gifted Rosemoor to the RHS in 1988 and since then, the original eight acres have been greatly developed into 65 acres of gardens and woodlands.

While recuperating in Spain from measles, she met the respected gardener Collingwood Ingram, who encouraged her to begin her own garden, and gave her plants to begin the project. To her original plantings Lady Anne added plants collected on her travels around the world, each carefully labelled

In addition to the vast range of plants originally collected by Lady Anne, the RHS has added features such as the Formal Garden, extensive herbaceous borders, Herb and Cottage Gardens, a Potager, a Fruit and Vegetable Garden, two beautiful Rose Gardens, a Foliage and Plantsman“s Garden, as well as a superb Winter Garden, extensive stream and lakeside plantings and an Alpine House.

Whatever the season, the garden is a unique and enchanting place that people return to time and again for ideas, inspiration or simply to enjoy a marvellous day out. An exciting and diverse range of events also take place throughout the year for all the family.

The Wisteria Tea rooms and fully licenced Garden restaurant are perfect place to stop and sit and enjoy the garden while eating delicious home cooked food.

Open all year round apart from Christmas Day and Boxing day - Monday to Sunday 10am-6pm
