Hope Cove

Hope Cove

  • Safe, sandy beach
  • Local diving
  • Coastal walks
  • Traditional Inn

Hope Cove nestles in the shelter of Bigbury Bay. It is a combination of two villages Outer and Inner Hope and is a quaint, picturesque fishing village with a history of smuggling and a reputation for delicious crabs and lobsters!

Hope cove is an ideal place to launch your own boat or go diving on the numerous shipwrecks that lie on the sea bed. It is also an ideal spot for walking with Salcombe only 4 miles away; there are plenty of spectacular views and secluded coves to explore.

The smooth stretch of sandy beach is ideal for families, there is a small car park nearby and some beautiful thatched cottages in the village. The Hope and Anchor Inn is a perfect lunchtime venue for sampling the local Salcombe crab cakes and better still they offer accommodation on a Bed and Breakfast basis.
