Dunsford Woods are owned by the National Trust and managed and leased by Devon Wildlife Trust. It combines oak woodland, rocky outcrops and bracken-covered slopes with sunny clearings with hazel dotted about. This mixture of habitats provides home to a wide range of plants and animals.

Dunsford Woods are on the outskirts of Dunsford village which is located at the north end of Teign Valley and has some lovely walks along the River Teign up stream from Steps Bridge on the northern river bank and is 141 acres in size.

Dunsford Wood and elsewhere in the Teign Valley, have exceptional and spectacular displays of wild daffodil in the Spring. The best place to park is in the Dartmoor National Park car park next to the Steps Bridge tea rooms which is a lovely stop for refreshments at the end of your walk.
