Bosvigo Gardens

Bosvigo Gardens

  • Garden of individual rooms
  • Original Victorian conservatory
  • Plant Nursery

Wendy and Michael Perry bought Bosvigo House thirty three years ago and set about creating the most beautiful garden in the ramshackle 3 acres of ground that came with the house.

The Perry’s have both been keen gardeners since birth, Michael the landscaper and Wendy the planter and designer. Today the garden is open to the public from March to the end of September on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – 11.00am to 6.00pm.

Unlike most other Cornish gardens, Bosvigo is at its finest in Summer. A ´must see´ for all plantsmen and artists. It comprises a series of small garden ´rooms´ around the lovely Georgian house. There is a walled garden, original Victorian conservatory, the Hot garden and the Vean garden, a pink and grey garden and a lovely woodland walk. It is an immaculately kept garden with superb herbaceous borders and beautifully planted enclosures is at its finest in summer when the mainly herbaceous plants start to flower though it keeps going well into the autumn.

The Bosvigo Plants is a nursery which sells rare, unusual and hard-to-find varieties of herbaceous plants all of which can be seen growing in the garden. The owners are also on site to offer any advice.
