Porthminster Beach Cafe

Porthminster Beach Cafe

  • Stunning location on beach at St Ives
  • Specializing in Mediterranean & Asian Seafood cuisine
  • Views of Godrevy Lighthouse
  • Open daily throughout the summer

Situated right on the sand at Porthminster Beach this perfect location lets you enjoy the views of St Ives bay, out to sea and over to Godrevy Lighthouse. The interior is beautifully designed with white walls and a seaside fresh look to the fabric used in the cushions and seat coverings. Local art is showcased here with some fantastic works by Anthony Frost, son of the late Sir Terry Frost.

On warm or sunny days there is seating outside where you really can feel almost on the beach.

The food is sourced locally each morning and the Specials Board reflects the catch of day from the local fishermen at Newlyn. The lunch menu ranges from Cornish oysters, Bouillabaisse, scallops and the renowned Porthminster Fish and Chips.

Dinner is served from 6.30pm and features dishes such as Lasagne of poached haddock and lobster, Monkfish curry or Cornish Prime Aged Fillet, Parsnip and horseradish, broad beans, paprika foam and truffle sauce.

With a good wine list to accompany its food this is a place that you will want to return to. A leisurely lunch watching the sailing boats and activities on the beach below could be followed by a wander round the picturesque town of St Ives. Dinner is also a must with the twinkling lights of the town and moonlight reflected in the ocean.
