  • Tempting selection of foods
  • Fresh fruit smoothies
  • Excellent coffee

Situated by the harbour in St Mawes this deli has a fantastic view of the comings and goings of all the boats and ferries. You can enjoy a wonderful cup of Lavassa coffee or steaming hot chocolate with homemade cakes while watching the world go by here.

The tempting display of food in the deli section could encourage you to take a picnic to the nearby beaches. Stocking foodie items that you can’t get in the supermarket you will love their platters of cheese, charcouterie, pates, most of them award winning , they source locally and also from the best nationally – from Neals Yard Dairy in London to St Endellion brie. The butter is made from Jersey cows ten miles up the road at Barwick Farm. To accompany your picnic they have a large selection of quality wines – they have tried them all and only sell the ones they really enjoyed!

At Café Chandlers they make fresh orange juice, chilling the oranges first and then squeezing them just for you, also made to order are their fresh fruit smoothies to top up your vitamin C intake. The gift section of the shop changes weekly and they stock wonderful items to take home as presents or to keep for you. Stocking designer aprons, the latest cookery books, hand painted pottery and hand blown glass and locally produced bottled beers from Skinners Brewery in Truro.

After enjoying a leisurely coffee or tea take time to wander through the narrow streets of St Mawes and view the picturesque cottages, wander up the road to St Mawes Castle and the spectacular view of the Carrick Roads and Falmouth on the other side.
